Most chatbots get ignored.

But human faces? Those are impossible to ignore.

Here’s how to greet every prospect visiting your website with a hyper-personalized video — that’s impossible to ignore. So you can grab their attention, engage them, and start a conversation.

TL;DR

  • Brainstorm & Plan All of Your Videos
  • Film Personalized Videos That Grab Attention
  • Trigger Video Greetings With Automated Journeys

Brainstorm & Plan All of Your Videos

Before you jump straight into filming videos — you’ll want to take some time to think through WHAT kind of visitors you’re targeting and HOW you can create personalized videos that grab their attention. Here’s how:

🔍 Identify Target Visitor Types

Start by identifying all of the different types of visitors you want to greet with personalized videos. Here are some examples:

  • New Visitors: First-time on your site
  • Unconverted Prospects: Have visited but not converted
  • Target Accounts: Specific companies or sectors you’re targeting
  • Traffic Sources: Visitors from ads, from your reps’ LinkedIn profiles, direct traffic
  • etc…

🧠 Brainstorm Personalized Video Concepts

Now, brainstorm specific video concepts for each visitor segment. You’ll want to get creative with how you personalize videos to specific groups. Here are some examples:

  • For New Visitors→ Wave at them and point down
  • For Unconverted Prospects→ Express a curious or confused look
  • For Target Accounts→ Hold a sign with their company logo
  • For Visitors From Reps’ LinkedIn Profile→ Show that specific rep smiling and waving
  • etc…

Record Personalized Videos That Grab Attention

Now it’s time to record the actual videos. If you don’t want to waste time endlessly re-recording videos — take some time to plan out the logistics of your recording session (it’s not as complicated as it sounds). Here’s how:

📝 Plan Your Recording Session

Before you start filming, you’ll need to figure out:

  • WHAT to record videos with (iPhone? Webcam? Professional camera?)
  • WHERE to record videos (Office background? Blank wall? Outside?)
  • WHO to film in these videos (You? The CEO? Specific sales reps?)
  • HOW to light these videos (Natural lighting? Ring light? Professional lights?)

If you need any special props for the videos (like a printed-out picture of a target account’s logo) — make sure to take note of these so you can prepare them before the big day.

🎥 Film Your Videos

After you’ve done all of your planning, you’ll want to schedule some time with the people you need to film. Just ping them on Slack and figure out a day that works for them.

Once the day comes — just grab your equipment and head over to your location. Record a practice video to make sure everything looks good. Then, record 3-5 takes for each video concept, so you’ll have a good selection to pick from.

💻 Edit Your Videos

Most of these videos won’t require much editing.

You’ll really just have to trim them up and add any onscreen graphics (like text above your head or logos of specific target accounts).

If you don’t have an in-house editor, you can probably just edit them yourself using a simple editing tool like CapCut or VEED.IO.

Trigger Video Greetings With Automated Journeys

Once you have all of your video greetings recorded — you can use them in automated journeys. Here are examples of a few common use cases:

For First-Time Visitors

For Target Accounts Without Open Deals

For Visitors From Specific Reps’ LinkedIn Profiles

For Anything You Want

The sky’s the limit when setting up custom journeys. If you can think of it — you can probably translate it into a journey. Just make sure you don’t have multiple journeys conflicting with each other.
